What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account. Our tools do their work in your browser: the letters, dates and choices you enter are not sent to us to be processed or stored.

One exception to be aware of: the word unscrambler adds your letters to the page address (for example ?letters=tiles) so you can bookmark or share a search. Page addresses are included in the analytics and server logs described below.

Some tools save information on your device using your browser’s local storage, for example your daily puzzle progress and streak. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across sites. It records details of each page view such as the page address, referring site, browser and device type, and country. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from Google’s certified consent platform asks for your choice before personalized ads and related cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. Ads are not shown until that message is in place.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

Children

Our tools are for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
